Chris Mullaly is actively engaged as an Angel Investor and the Founder of Quantum Angels, a private investment firm specializing in pre-seed and seed-stage investments across the telecom, healthcare, technology, AI, IoT, and social impact sectors. Chris began his career with Barclays Investment Bank, where he worked within the Global Healthcare and Real Estate Group. He later transitioned to Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe (“WCAS”), a private equity firm renowned for deploying nearly $80 billion into the healthcare and technology sectors since its inception in 1979. During his tenure, Chris honed his skills in company evaluation and deal structuring, amassing a commendable track record of accomplishments. Subsequently, Chris assumed the role of VP/Head of Finance and served as an acting Board Member at Emerus, a healthcare portfolio company under WCAS. During this period, he adeptly guided the company through a complex restructuring and reorganization, showcasing his ability to navigate intricate scenarios with finesse. At one point, he also assumed the interim roles of CFO/COO during the reorganization process. Prior to his current role, Chris co-founded and held the position of Managing Partner at Spirus, capitalizing on over a decade of experience in investment banking and finance. Chris has successfully executed transactions exceeding $30 billion in total volume throughout his career. He has cultivated strong relationships with industry-leading operators and investors, including institutional firms, limited partners, high-net-worth individuals, angel investors, venture capital firms, family offices, sovereign wealth funds, hedge funds, pensions, insurance companies, traditional lenders, specialty lenders, opportunistic lenders, venture lenders, and other discreet sources of capital.
