Bruce Culver is a serial entrepreneur, investor, executive and scientist. In 2001 he acquired technology, founded, developed and was CEO and Chairman of IdealHire, Inc a recruitment applicant matching and ranking technology. IdealHire developed a disruptive recruitment SAAS application as well as a unique Military Skills Translator (www.H2H.jobs) that has been lauded by the Military as best in class. From January 2013 until July 2014 H2H.jobs placed 245,000 veterans with jobs. Mr. Culver has 20 years international experience in the staffing industry. In 1985, he found Lab Support, Inc and raised 2 rounds of venture capital, hired the executive team and developed the business. He was CEO, Chairman and Director until 1990 when he successfully recruited a CEO who further developed the Company and took it public on NASDAQ in 1992 as On Assignment, Inc (symbol ASGN). Currently ASGN is on NYSE. In 1990 Mr. Culver founded Professional Staff plc, a UK specialty staffing business. Again, he raised venture capital, hired the executive team and served as Chief Executive and Chairman until 2001. The Company went public on NASDAQ in 1996 (PSTF) and was privatized in 2003. While at PSTF the company acquired; 3-COM plc, a worldwide leading provider of telecommunications engineers, and a cosmetics staffing company in Paris. In 1993 he acquired California Distribution, Inc, which provided 3PL, logistics, warehouse, distribution and transportation to 50+ companies in Southern California. He sold CDI in 2009. Mr. Culver is an active angel investor having invested in 20 start-ups. He currently holds investments in 7 companies. In 1994 he provided the angel investment funding and was a Director for Taser International, Inc (TASR) until 2010. Currently he serves as a Director for Digital Map Products, Newscrafted, Moonlighting and Futures. From 2005 and 2011 he served as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History. Mr. Culver is a current member of the Business Advisory Council for the California State University Channel Islands Smith Business School. Between 1971 and 1985, he was a marketing executive, product manager and scientist in the scientific instrument industry. He was employed by: Bausch & Lomb/ARL, Hach and Varian Associates. Mr. Culver holds a B.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of South Dakota and a M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry from Montana State University.
