Steven founded myMatrixx in 2001 to originally serve the needs of one client seeking a better solution to manage its workers’ compensation pharmacy benefits. This led to the creation of one of the first online tools for the industry. Since then, he has been instrumental in the development of new myMatrixx solutions designed to take the complexity out of workers’ compensation and to provide better outcomes for injured workers. A serial entrepreneur, Steven previously co-founded and served as the CEO of TechHealth where he was instrumental in developing a proprietary web-enabled technology for ancillary medical services. Additionally, he partnered with The Christopher Reeve Foundation to promote research for a cure for paralysis caused by spinal cord injury and other central nervous system disorders. Steven has focused the majority of his career in workers’ compensation and formerly served in numerous leadership positions with PMSI and Pharmerica. He also served in the Air National Guard. Over his career, Steven has combined an innovative approach with technology and a passion for “doing the right thing” to address the numerous challenges facing a complex market. The end result has been numerous technological advances which have significantly impacted the clients he has served. Steven was named the 2013 Entrepreneur of the Year by Business Observer and was a finalist in the 2012 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year awards. He is active in Tampa Bay Technology Forum, Society of International Business Fellows and Young Presidents’ Organization. He graduated from the University of South Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and attended the School of Management at the University of Texas.
