Venkatesh Seetharam serves as Partner at Capital One Growth Ventures. Venkatesh Seetharam leads the venture investments across big data, analytics, BI, machine learning, and other emerging technologies. Previously, he worked at Hortonworks Inc., where he led a major Data Governance Initiative and oversaw the creation of Apache Falcon - a Data Management solution for Hadoop. Prior to Hortonworks Inc., he was at Yahoo!, where he led a team to design and implement the Hadoop data management platform. He is a thought leader in the Big Data and Analytics space and has knowledge and experience from Hortonworks and Yahoo!. He has over 15 years of experience in software development and architecture, and has been working on Hadoop for nearly a decade. He is a is a certified meditation trainer. Venkatesh Seetharam has a Bachelors in Computer Science from Bangalore University in India.
