As an Executive-in-Residence at Summit Partners, Myles McCormick works closely with the Summit team to invest in leading high-growth consumer and specialty retail brands. Most recently, Myles was the CEO of Bare Escentuals. Myles joined Bare Escentuals as CFO in 2004, later adding the title of COO in 2006, and rising to CEO in 2010. He later led the company through a $1.8 billion acquisition by Shiseido of Japan. Prior to joining Bare Escentuals, he served as CFO for The Gymboree Corporation, a publicly-traded children’s specialty retailer, where he was part of a team that launched a multi-brand strategy with the creation of Janie & Jack. Myles currently sits on the Board of Directors of Philz Coffee, an artisan coffee retailer and Summit Partners portfolio company, and Dutch LLC, which operates women contemporary brands Joie, Equipment and Current | Elliot. Myles holds a BS in economics from California Polytechnic State University, and an MBA from Notre Dame de Namur University.
