Francisco Marín graduated from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid as Telecommunications Engineer and completed the Senior Management Program (PADE) at the IESE Business School. He started ELIOP, where he held various senior positions and whose activities he expanded throughout Latin America, Turkey and India since the 1980’s decade well into 2009. Since 2010, he was Partner and Director of Future Plus, where he managed a private equity fund and held several executive positions in the management of technology based firms. In 2015, he was appointed Director General of the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI-E.P.E.), a public agency of the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness of Spain. He has also featured an intensive associational activity, having been Chairman of the R&D&I Commission of AMETIC, President of the Forum of Innovative Companies, non-corporate board member of COTEC and Vice-Chairman of the R&D&I Commission of the Confederation of Employers and Industries of Spain (CEOE).
