Steve Chaddick

Mr. Steve W. Chaddick served as the Chief Strategy Officer of VistaScape Security Systems Corp. Mr. Chaddick served as a Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Marketing of Ciena Corp. since January 2002, Chief Strategy Officer from May 2001 to December 2001, Senior Vice President of Systems and Technology from February 2000 to May 2001, President of Core Switching Division from July 1999 to February 2000, Senior Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development from August 1998 to July 1999 and Vice President of Product Development and Senior Vice President of Products and Technologies from May 1994 to August 1998. He founded Ridgewood Advisors in 2004 as a vehicle for angel investing, nurturing the community of emerging technology companies. He co-founded Tridom in 1983, which was acquired by AT&T in 1988, when he served as Vice President of Engineering at AT&T Tridom. He has 30+ years of experience in the Telecom and related industries, having held varied positions at GTE Electronic Systems Group, Pacific Measurements, Avantek, and Scientific-Atlanta. He is a Member of Board of Directors at Atlanta Technology Angels. He serves as a Director of Asankya, Inc. He serves on the Georgia Tech Advisory Board and the Advisory Board of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He has also served on the Board of Directors of the Optical Internetworking Forum and Terabit Technology. Mr. Chaddick served as a Director of VistaScape Security Systems Corp. Mr. Chaddick holds several patents in the area of WDM systems and techniques. He is a Member of the Georgia Tech Academy of Distinguished Engineering Alumni. Mr. Chaddick received both his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1974 and 1982 respectively.
