Edouard MacGuffie

Edouard MacGuffie is Operating Partner for BIG’s Energy Investment Division. Ed has significant business development, strategy, management consulting and operations experience. Previous to joining BIG, he served as Vice President in charge of Solar Development for Cogentrix Energy LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Goldman Sachs Group. Prior to Cogentrix, Ed was Executive Director of Development for FPL Energy (NextEra). Ed was also responsible for leading and managing the Product & Services group of a B2B Internet exchange/technology service provider serving the marine industry as Vice-President Products for internet start-up Marex.com. He has also lead management consulting teams during his tenure at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, and performed strategy development at McKinsey & Company. Ed holds a master’s of business administration from the Harvard Business School and received a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Miami.
