Currently serving as a Staff Attorney at the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) in the Office of the Secretary, Zylberglait's commitment to excellence and innovation has left a mark on the field. In his current role, Zylberglait has been instrumental in facilitating changes at the FTC. He has shown expertise in drafting essential documentation, reorganizing processes, and transitioning offices to remote and paperless operations. His contributions extend to managing the hiring process, including recruiting a paralegal and summer interns. Zylberglait's keen legal mind is evident in his meticulous review of Civil Investigative Demands (CIDs) and subpoenas for compliance with rules, as well as his research on electronic service rules from other agencies. Before being appointed to his current role, Zylberglait served as Senior Attorney in the Division of Litigation Technology and Analysis, Bureau of Consumer Protection, where he chaired committees, supervised programs, and provided legal advice on technology matters. His dedication to staff development is evidenced by the implementation of a comprehensive Staff Development Training Program. Zylberglait's impressive journey at the FTC includes roles as Counsel to the Director, where he managed various projects for the Bureau Director, and as Attorney Advisor to Commissioners Ohlhausen and Ramirez, where he reviewed consumer protection matters, drafted recommendation memoranda, and coordinated with agency staff and international counterparts. Notably, he played an important role in the drafting of a key Commission opinion on advertising and substantiation issues. A significant chapter of Zylberglait's career was spent in the Office of International Affairs, where he served as Counsel for International Consumer Protection. His responsibilities included managing the agency's international technical assistance program, coordinating cross-border investigations, and negotiating bilateral cooperation agreements. Zylberglait also launched and managed the econsumer.gov project, an international government database for cross-border consumer complaints. Educated at Georgetown University Law Center, Zylberglait holds a J.D. with honors and has showcased his commitment to legal education as an instructor.
