Edward Colby

Edward “Ed” Colby oversees product development, go-to-market initiatives and business development for Emotient. He is an experienced executive and entrepreneur, with more than 35 years experience in technology, finance, and international business development at leading consumer electronics and finance companies, including Apple Inc. and Citibank, and as a successful technology venture founder and investor. Previously, Ed served as a partner with two global technology venture capital groups. Most recently, he served as an advisor and venture partner to Quadrille Capital, formerly Quilvest Ventures. previously, he was a Managing Director at Viventures Partners. Earlier in his career, Ed also served as founding CEO of venture capital-backed Wayfarer Communications, funded by Sequoia Capital. Wayfarer was acquired by publicly held Vantive, which was ultimately acquired by Oracle. Earlier in his career Ed worked for Apple Inc., directing their product marketing efforts as well as leading a pan-European R&D organization in Paris, France. He holds an MBA from the University of Virginia and a BA in Economics from Princeton University.
