Bernard F. Brennan Also Bernie has been actively involved with Tomax for several years as investor and in guiding development of the Demand-Driven Retail Continuum as foundation for Tomax' Retail.net. The result has been a major expansion of the product offering that has gained rapid response in the retail industry. Bernie's significant experience as investor and director in retail-related and supply chain software companies has focused in the development and integration of merchandise planning and revenue optimization. He has been actively involved with Spotlight Solutions, Marc Global, and Marketmax, where he served as Managing Director and assisted its merger into SAS Institute. Bernie's 30 years in the retail industry includes Chairman of the National Retail Federation, where he received the Gold Medal Award as National Retailer of the Year. He began his retail career with Sears, where he was Director of Management Development. He went on to serve 17 years as a CEO, including Chairman and CEO of Sav-A-Stop, one of the largest suppliers of non-foods to the grocery and convenience store industries; Household Merchandising, a $5 billion company that included Von's Supermarkets, Coast-To-Coast, and a number of prominent furniture retailers; and Montgomery Ward Holding Co., which included the Retail Group and the Signature Group, one of the largest direct marketing companies in the U.S. He is currently Chairman of eFashion Solutions, the e-commerce provider that manages online operations for high-fashion, direct-to-consumer stores.
