Brent Wadman has broad expertise in a number of corporaet legal subjects including: corporate governance, securities law, mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt transactions, corporate risk and crisis management, and contract negotiation. He has a passion for ethical corporate governance and emerging technologies (particularly blockchain). Previously he was the General Counsel of Stillwater Mining Company, a large publicly-traded, international mining company. Brent was responsible for the legal affairs of the Company and corporate secretary functions of the Company's Board. Prior to that, he has served as Senior Counsel at Combat Support Associates, a U.S. defense contractor in Kuwait City, Kuwait, and Deputy General Counsel at infoGroup Inc., a direct marketing company in Omaha, Nebraska and Ameritrade, Inc. an online broker/dealer. Brent Wadman has over twent years of broad corporate legal experience in a variety of industries and markets. He currently advises public and private companies concerning corporate ethics and governance, SEC compliance, M&A, funding, internal investigations, and Board functions. He adopts the best practices from different industries and combines that with experience he gained earlier in his career as a trial attorney to provide real value to his corporate clients. Brent Wadman received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology in 1996 from the University of North Carolina in Wilmington, NC, and his Juris Doctorate in 1999 from the University of Tulsa in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Brent enjoys the outdoors and spends his time hiking, backpacking, and fly fishing in the summer and skiing in the winter. He has a number of other interests including bitcoin mining, wood working, home brewing, cooking, gardening, video games, and working on old cars. He is married with two daughters and is a life-long learner. Specific areas of interest: SEC compliance, general regulatory compliance, board management, corporate governance, litigation, licensing, IP, international transactions, and risk management.
