Michael Scharff

Michael Scharff is the Founder of Evolv AI. He served as the Chief Executive Officer from inception through fall 2023 and continues to help shape the company's future as a Board Observer and Advisor. He also served as Chief Executive Officer at Sentient Technologies and led the corporate restructuring that resulted in the spin-out and founding of Evolv AI. He brings over two decades of digital commerce and retail experience, with leadership roles at some of the most well-known retailers in the US, including Best Buy, Toys R Us, Staples and Sears Canada. He has a wealth of experience in all aspects of retailing and across numerous industry verticals and channels. He has built and managed highly successful omni-channel and global e-commerce businesses and led merchandising, digital marketing, strategy and innovation teams, as well as many other functional areas. He also serves as an advisor and investor for many retail-related technology startups.
