David Semmens

David Semmens is currently CIO at Cadro, an External Investment Committee Member at Wealthify (part of the Aviva Group) , and teaches a post-graduate course in finance at Heriot Watt University. Since completing an M.Sc. in Economics at the University of Warwick, David has worked in London, New York and Paris across a range of industries covering banking, insurance and asset management for HSBC Asset Management, Euler Hermes and Standard Chartered Bank. David is also a CFA charterholder with an Executive MBA from the University of Cambridge. He is passionate about improving financial literacy and helping people to gain the confidence to become investors. In his spare time he enjoys playing cards, crime novels and walking in the Highland and Islands with his wife.
