Irina Pavlova was appointed president of Onexim Sports and Entertainment Holding USA Inc. in May 2010. Onexim Sports and Entertainment is the company through which Mikhail Prokhorov is the principal owner of the Brooklyn Nets and holds a 45% stake in the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, the new home of the team. Based in New York City, Pavlova serves as the conduit between Nets management and team ownership, overseeing business operations and ensuring the franchise has everything necessary to build a championship team. She also coordinates all necessary activity regarding the Barclays Center with Forest City Ratner Companies, the majority owner of the venue. Pavlova serves on the boards of directors of the Brooklyn Nets and the Barclays Center. Prior to joining Onexim Sports and Entertainment, Pavlova was head of Google’s Strategic Partnerships in Russia, where she was Google’s first employee, helping to establish the company’s operations. Earlier, she served as an equity analyst and portfolio manager at Wentworth, Hauser and Violich, where she focused on small-cap equities. She began her career as a financial analyst with Prudential Investment Corporation. She also serves on the board of PeacePlayers International, a nonprofit that promotes conflict resolution among kids through the game of basketball.
