Josh is a vice president at Gladstone Place Partners. Prior to joining Gladstone Place, he was an associate vice president at Prosek Partners, where he counseled clients on M&A, shareholder activism, distressed debt situations and bankruptcies and corporate positioning. At Prosek, he worked on several of Elliott Management’s shareholder activism campaigns and distressed debt positions, in addition to transactions including Fred’s Pharmacy’s proposed acquisition of up to 1,200 Rite Aid stores related to that company’s attempted merger with Walgreens, Energy Arbitrage Partners’ acquisition of Phibro from Occidental Petroleum and Synchrony Financial’s acquisition of GPShopper. Additionally, Josh has worked on Franklin Resources’ defense of a closed end fund against Saba Capital Management. Josh has also advised Ambac Financial Group on investor relations and communications activities, including their proxy defense against Canyon Capital and their position as one of Puerto Rico’s largest creditors. He also worked with one of Argentina’s largest creditors during the litigation related to the country’s debt restructuring. Josh earned a JD, Cum Laude, from the Florida State University College of Law and a BA in Government and World Affairs from the University of Tampa.
