David Allison

David Allison is the External Advisory Board of Rice Biotech Launch Pad. He Previously Split Rock Partners as an Associate in 2009. Located in our Menlo Park office, David focuses on healthcare investments. Prior to joining Split Rock Partners, David was on the healthcare team at PTV Sciences, a venture capital firm located in Houston and Austin, TX. At PTV he focused on venture investments in the medical devices and life sciences sectors. Prior to PTV Sciences, David worked as a NSF REU Research Associate at The Cleveland Clinic’s Heart Valve Laboratory and spent time at SurModics in the diagnostics and drug discovery business unit. David holds a B.S.E with honors in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Iowa, and a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from Rice University.
