Dan Peterson

Dan Patterson is a General Partner at Sfermion and a Managing Partner at Polynexus Capital, a Chicago-based digital asset fund. The firm invests in early-stage, liquid products that are laying the groundwork for the future decentralized economy. Prior to joining the cryptoasset space full-time, he spent four years working at a private equity firm in Hong Kong, responsible for sourcing, analyzing, and executing transaction opportunities for the firm. Dan’s primary experience focuses on small-cap, growth-stage investments in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. Dan’s cryptoasset journey began in 2013, while studying engineering and finance at Duke University. Ethereum’s growing reputation, as a platform for decentralized applications, convinced him that a new type of capital market was forming. Since that time, he has dedicated himself to understanding and investing in this novel asset class.
