Jamie James

For the past decade, Jamie has been the lead sustainability advisor to Tridel, Toronto’s leading condominium developer, and has contributed to the company’s transition to become a green building leader with over 12 million square feet in development or under construction in LEED projects. For six years, Jamie was a Partner in the Windmill Development Group, when they successfully developed LEED- Platinum certified mixed-used buildings in Calgary, Ottawa and at Dockside Green in Victoria. Jamie also manages 350 Capital, a small venture fund that invests in green building technologies, and he has served on the board of cleantech start-ups and the Canada Green Building Council (2008-2011). In 2011, working with the cleantech practice at the MaRS Discovery Districtand Tridel, Jamie founded Tower Labs @MaRS, a non-profit green building technology accelerator, to manage pilot and demonstration projects of new approaches to improve the environmental performance of large buildings in Toronto.
