Scott Tierney has a diverse background as an entrepreneur leading early stage companies, growth stage investor and former investment banker advising clients on IPOs and M&A. Prior to joining Google, Scott was a General Partner with Steelpoint Capital, the private equity arm for Moore Capital. Before Steelpoint, Scott was President of Archimedes Technology Group, a nuclear technology company that was acquired by General Atomics. Scott was also a founding executive and the Head of Investment Banking for Epoch Partners, an online, technology focused investment bank that was acquired by Goldman Sachs. Prior to joining Epoch Partners, Scott was a Vice President at Morgan Stanley. Scott received an AB in Social Studies from Harvard College (magna cum laude) and an MBA from the Haas School of Business, University of California at Berkeley, where he was a Haas Fellow.
