That is the business solution I've passionately pursued as an inventor, founder and patent-holder for more than a decade. I founded AutoFerret.com in 2007, bringing AVA, the first Artificial Intelligence Sales Assistant to the world. By engaging in natural, two-way email conversations with prospects, AVA connected hot leads with salespeople, driving a more efficient sales process. Today, that intellectual property is a key product of Conversica®, the leader in conversational AI for business and the only provider of AI-driven lead engagement software for marketing and sales organizations. More than 1,200 companies use Conversica, including CenturyLink, AT&T and Epson. I was bootstrapping AutoFerret when the economy collapsed. I often say, “Fortune favors persistence,” and I focused on a new product which used AI to work leads autonomously, an Automated Virtual Assistant-AVA. Released in 2009, it was an immediate success. With a customer base, healthy profits, and what I knew would be a billion-dollar opportunity, I took AutoFerret through an A series of funding in 2013, bringing in a management team and a board of directors. I spent 2015 in retirement and started Intelligens in 2016 to provide conversational AI for marketing, sales and finance teams in Latin America. Intelligens was acquired by Conversica in 2017, at which time I accepted an operational role as General Manager of Conversica Latin America. In 2018, Dealer Marketing Magazine named me the Father of Artificial Intelligence in Automotive Retail. I have one patent granted and several more filed.
