Glenn S. Schafer

Glenn S. Schafer is the board of directors of Janus Capital Group. Glenn S. Schafer has been a director of the Company since December 2007 and became Chairman of the Board of Directors effective April 27, 2012. Mr. Schafer is also a director of Fulcrum BioEnergy (an alternative energy development company); Skilled Healthcare Group, Inc. (a holding company with subsidiaries that operate nursing and assisted living facilities); the Michigan State University Foundation (a non-profit fundraising corporation); and GeoOptics LLC (a weather satellite manufacturer). Mr. Shafer served as Vice Chairman of Pacific Life Insurance Company ("Pacific Life") from April 2005 until his retirement in December 2005. He was a member of Pacific Life's board of directors and President of Pacific Life from 1995 to 2005. He was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Pacific Life from 1991 to 1995. From 2006 to 2007, he served on the board of directors for Scottish Re Group.
