Crispin is driving & managing his second CVC fund EnBW New Ventures since the beginning of 2016. Focus is on entrepreneurially driven companies that develop new business models and technologies for the converging energy, mobility and urban life markets. From 2008 until 2015, Crispin has built and lead Innogy Venture Capital, from 2008 to 2010 as an internal CVC unit within RWE Innogy and after a spin-off from 2011 to 2015 as independent hybrid VC fund with the two investors RWE Innogy and CEE Holding. Crispin has over 20 years of experience in the transformation of the energy markets with a focus on venture capital transactions, portfolio management as well as renewable technologies and project development. Previously, Crispin worked at the wind-turbine manufacturer REpower Systems (today Senvion), the trading house Enron during the liberalization wave in the European energy markets and the natural gas importer Wingas, when the monopoly of Ruhrgas became under threat. Crispin holds a Master degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Karlsruhe and an MBA from the GSB Chicago.
