Chaki Ng

Chaki Ng develops emerging technologies, ships products that serve millions and builds startup teams. Currently, he is an innovation executive at Viacom and Founder + Head of Viacom NEXT -- a hands-on R&D team that has delivered over half-a-dozen VR + AR projects (on Steam and iOS stores and premiered at Sundance and SXSW) since mid-2016. He previously was SVP of Product for MTV: designed + launched 15 video apps in 2 years and re-imagined VMA + MTV News with modern UX and design processes and data science. He co-founded+sold a 65-people eLearning company that powered thousands of K-12/college classrooms for top educational providers such as Scholastic + Harcourt. His brains were heavily re-wired while building sensor networks, tangible + augmented interfaces, and digital markets + currencies at Harvard (PhD+SM in Computer Science) and MIT (Research Projects at Media Lab). He also holds an MBA from MIT Sloan and a BS (Computer Science) from Northeastern.
