Masood Naqshbandi

Masood Naqshbandi was born in Afghanistan with a natural curiosity for scientific research. From a very young age, he was conducting experiments in his family’s kitchen. This curiosity would carry into his teenage years when his family immigrated to Sydney, Australia, and Masood would soon be given the opportunity to attend the prestigious University of Sydney. Masood not only earned a Master’s Degree in Materials Chemistry and Photonics in 2013, but the university also offered him a position as a Research Scientist to further advance his expertise. His research life took him to different parts of the world where he collaborated and published work with groups at the University of Technology of Parana in Brazil, the University of Osaka in Japan, and Colleagues in Paris. It was during his extensive years of research that his entrepreneurship spirit was awakened. The evolution was rooted in how the future of innovative science technology and automation can benefit every living being in the world. Masood co-founded Abyss Solutions with the hope that the company will become an innovation powerhouse that consistently helps solve some of the world’s most challenging obstacles.
