Stephen Gray

Stephen C. Gray, also known as Steve, serves as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Syniverse Technologies, LLC and has been its Director since 2011. Stephen Gray serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of SecurityCoverage, Inc. and has been its Executive Chairman since 2005. Stephen Gray served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Syniverse Holdings, Inc. since February 2015 until February 25, 2018. Stephen Gray continues to provide his operational expertise to its existing and future portfolio companies. He is the Founder and Chairman of Gray Venture Partners, LLC. He has been Manager of Insight Midwest, L.P. since December 16, 2005. Stephen Gray served as an Operating Executive of The Carlyle Group LP. From 2007 to 2015, he served as a Senior Advisor to the firm. He has a tremendous amount of industry insight and experience. He has more than 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Stephen Gray served as Interim Chief Executive Officer and Interim President of Syniverse Holdings, Inc. from August 20, 2014 to February 2015 and President of McLeodUSA, LLC from 1992 to December 31, 2004. He served as the President of McLeod USA, LLC from April 1992 to December 31, 2004 and also served as its Chief Operating Officer. Stephen Gray founded McLeod USA in 1992 and oversaw its primary business units consisting of its CLEC (competitive local exchange carrier), ILEC (incumbent local exchange carrier), Directory Publishing and Cable/Telephony divisions and also led development of its overall strategy and merger/acquisition efforts. He served as a Director of McLeodUSA, LLC from 1993 to December 31, 2004. He served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of PAETEC Holding Corp. Stephen Gray served as a Vice President of Business Services of MCI from August 1990 to September 1992, where he was responsible for its local access strategy and for marketing and sales support of the Business Markets division. From February 1988 to August 1990, Stephen Gray served as a Senior Vice President of National Accounts and Carrier Services for Telecom USA, where his responsibilities included marketing, customer service and sales support.
