Reena Mithal

Reena Mithal is the founding Partner of Delhi-based Sankya Partners. She has over 17 years of experience in the finance sector spanning the United States, Singapore, and India. Prior to setting up Sankhya, Reena was co-founder, President, COO and a Board Member of CreditSights Inc. Read more about Sankhya partners here. Most recently, Reena was co-founder, President, COO and a Board Member of CreditSights Inc., an independent research company providing credit research, capital structure analysis and investment recommendations to over 900 global institutional investors worldwide. At CreditSights, Reena led the Risk Products group in New York and subsequently moved on to spearhead the firm’s business development strategy in the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to CreditSights, Reena has worked at Putnam Investments, Deutsche Bank, and Lehman Brothers in Emerging Markets Strategy and Corporate Bond Research. Reena is also a Board Member of Collegiate Charter Schools in New York where she has worked closely with the administration of the Uncommon Schools Network and the city’s Board of Education to set up schools for low income students in Brooklyn, New York. Reena completed her PhD in Economics and Finance from Columbia University in 1996. She also holds an MALD from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tuft’s University, an MA in International Relations from Jawaharlal Nehru University, and a BA in History from St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi. Reena is currently in the process of setting up an impact investment fund in India.
