Lee Bouyea joined the FreshTracks team as an Associate in September 2005, was promoted to Principal in July 2006, then to Managing Director in June 2007. In his capacity as Managing Director of FreshTracks, Bouyea currently serves on the Boards of Patient Engagement Systems, NEHP, and Draker Labs. Lee also leads FreshTracks' investments in Quirky and Kohort, and formerly served on the Boards of mophie & Kluster. Bouyea’s professional background includes marketing, product and business development expertise working for eBay, Nextel Communications and for the venture-backed growth company Ebates. Lee is a native of Burlington, VT where his family owned and operated Bouyea-Fassetts Bakery for three generations. Bouyea-Fassetts successfully sold its assets to the Freihofer Baking Co. in 1989, a wholly owned subsidiary of Kraft Foods. Bouyea graduated from Colgate University in 1997 and earned an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth in 2005. While at Dartmouth, Lee was selected to be a Fellow at Tuck’s Center for Digital Strategies, where his studies focused on the Digital Media industry. Lee is an active member of the Vermont community and serves on the Board of the Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce (LCRCC), the Vermont Sustainable Jobs Fund (VSJF) and as Secretary for Burlington City Arts. He was also a graduating member of the Leadership Champlain Class of 2009, was formerly an Associate Member of the Vermont Business Roundtable, and was honored by Vermont Business Magazine in its inaugural class of Rising Stars Awards in 2010. Bouyea serves on the Vermont Tech Council, is a member of the North Country Angels and serves on the Steering Committee for the Vermont Investors Forum.
