Doug Lunn

Doug Lunn grew up in Southern California and Massachusetts. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Geology and Art from The University of Colorado at Boulder. While applying for a geology position at Vecta Oil and Gas, he was, instead, hired to join the mineral acquisition team and function as a ‘Land Man’ (Land Consultant) performing duties similar to a paralegal. While working for Vecta, Doug began casually consulting for Catalina Ventures, an A Stage high technology venture capital fund based out of Irvine California, on advanced materials science investments. The amount of time spent consulting quickly grew until he was offered a full time position within the firm. Doug has spent the last 6 years working with start ups and currently has been working with the startup community in Dallas since May of 2016. Upon receiving his MBA with a focus on Strategy and Entrepreneurship Doug returned to Denver Colorado and began working as an M&A consultant for Advanced Energy Industries to help acquire Artisan Embedded Power in a $400M Acquisition and carve out. Doug is currently the Vice President at Now Capital Advisors, the consulting and cap raise arm of NowCFO, in San Diego California.
