FILIPPO Murroni

Filippo is CTO at Abodata, Italy, where he leads Cloud Computing, WSN, M2M, Standardization and IPR activities for the company. He is also co-founder and Head of Research at Macrovision Creative Software, Ireland. Filippo is a renowned industry visionary and accomplished engineering executive with over 30 years of experience in building, developing, and revitalising software development. He has been a prime mover in successive generations of remote connectivity solutions, playing a key role in designing, evangelising, and realising innovative connected product solutions. He is the deviser of Plat-One and Thunder!, the Abodata Cloud-ready Service Delivery Platform for M2M,and is currently focused on advancing it and ensuring technical and business strategy alignment across all Abodata offerings. He is an active participant in various standardization initiatives, with activities in ETSI M2M and ITU-T FG M2M. Filippo worked on several major projects in the transportation, energy and industry sectors, for clients like Ansaldo STS, SelexElsag, Ansaldo Energia, ABB, EDF France, British Coal, Eircom Ireland, Boliden Zinc Mines, ENEL, Infracom, China Ministry of Forestry and many others. Filippo is currently leading the teams working in Telecom Italia, Deutsche Telekom and Telit. He holds a B.S. degree in Computer Science from the University of Pisa, Italy.
