Mart is a co-founder and partner of United Partners, which mainly deals with transaction acquisition and investment management. He has been managing investment projects for Vertex-Estonia, Nelja Energia and Nordic Lumber, and he is actively involved in transactions related to the Baltic Realization Center. Mart has also been a member of the Estonian Business and Regional Policy Promotion Entrepreneurship Foundation 2007-2010. Prior to joining United Partners, Mart worked as the largest freight and passenger terminal complex in the Baltic Sea, as chairman of the Tallinn Port Authority. This was preceded by 12 years of work experience in the largest commercial bank in the Baltics, the Hansapank Group (current Swedbank) until November 2003, with Mart being managed by a group-wide leasing and factoring company Hansa Capital and a member of the Hansabank Group Credit Committee. Under Mardi and Tarmo, Hansa Capital became the largest asset-based financier in Central and Eastern Europe, being represented in five countries. On the initiative of Mardi became the founder of the Estonian Union of Leasing Societies. He graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Tartu.
