Sidney has established several real estate investment ventures and been involved with a number of companies, including Covia Labs, Planetary Resources, Edison2, and AnthroTronix as an investor, board member, or advisor. He also serves on the Vision Circle of the X PRIZE Foundation. Prior to this, Sidney was the second software engineer hired at Google, Inc. Previously, Sidney had worked as a security expert and software engineer at RSA Labs and D.E. Shaw & Co., among other companies. He provided the implementation expertise for RC6, RSA’s candidate cipher for NIST’s quest for AES, a successor to the Data Encryption Standard. Sidney attended Caltech and Harvard, and he received a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Harvard in 1991. He then entered the graduate program in mathematics at MIT, where he specialized in cryptography and received a PhD in 1995. His higher mathematics knowledge will be helpful to our development team. Sidney also has an MBA from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. In addition, he is active in educational and environmental undertakings in the Lake Tahoe, NV area. Sidney is a member of the following xG Technology board committees: Compensation, and Governance and Nominations.
