Tim Parker is Chairman of the Board of Directors at Samsonite, a position he has held since the company was incorporated in its current format in March 2011. His current role sees him take responsibility for the effective functioning of the board and, prior to assuming the title, he carried out a number of other positions within Samsonite including Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the consolidated group and non-executive chairman. He is a successful executive who has previously held top leadership positions at many renowned British organisations including The AA, Kwik-Fit, Clarks and Kenwood. Tim also recently served as the Chairman of the Post Office and the National Trust. Since 2009, he has owned and chaired British Pathé, a leading archive of newsreel footage that also includes culturally significant vintage documentaries and films and is also heavily involved with the Royal Academy of Music and the Grange Park Opera. Tim holds an MA in Philosophy, Politics & Economics from the University of Oxford, and a Masters in Business Studies from London Business School.
