James Colley

James Colley is the founder of Therappai, an AI-powered mental health platform making therapy more accessible through live AI video sessions, 24/7 chat, crisis alerts, and evidence-based tools. Prior to Therappai, James co-founded Whip Around, a SaaS company that grew from a small startup into a global platform used by thousands of businesses worldwide. While building and scaling Whip Around, James also faced lifelong challenges with anxiety—experiences that highlighted the difficulties of accessing timely and affordable therapy. Motivated by these challenges and a passion for building technology that solves real-world problems, James launched Therappai to bridge the gap in mental health support. He believes AI won’t replace human therapists, but it can provide immediate, affordable, and stigma-free support to millions of people who currently lack access.
