Kapil joined TCV in 2006 and has a decade of technology, finance, and investment experience. Kapil spends time primarily in the software, internet and business services space. He is very actively involved with TOA Technologies Alarm.com, Rapid7, OSIsoft and Genesys. He also supports the firms investments in Merkle and Webroot. His prior investments included Splunk (NASDAQ: SPLK), ExactTarget (NYSE: ET), Seismic Microtechnology (acquired by IHS), Global360 (acquired by OpenText), Solarc (acquired by OpenLink) and Paciolan (acquired by Ticketmaster). Prior to TCV, Kapil was an investment banker at Goldman Sachs & Co. in New York. While at Goldman Sachs, Kapil worked with companies in the Internet, software, IT services, enterprise hardware and communications sectors on a variety of strategic advisory assignments, financing and M&A transactions. Kapil also worked in the Office of the Chief Information Officer at Goldman Sachs on various strategic projects including private technology company investing. In that capacity he advised the firms’ clients on various technology and IT spending trends. Kapil received his Masters in Engineering Management and Masters in Electrical Engineering from Dartmouth College and was a William F. May Fellow.
