John Vasquez

Mr. Vasquez is the Chairman and Co-founder of Newport Capital Bancorp, LLC and a Director at Aegis Identity since April 2014. Having built strategic and capital plans for financial platforms, he has combined his background and experience to launch a minority-owned company formed for the purpose of recapitalizing banks. Mr. Vasquez has 20 years of experience in the banking and capital markets sectors. By taking his investment experience and partnering with world-class management teams to make equity investments in situations where there is an identifiable opportunity to significantly enhance a company’s value, Mr. Vasquez acts as the “Agent of Change” for value-oriented businesses. He has served on several boards of directors and been approved by the Office of Thrift Supervision for a Thrift Institution Director seat, rebuttal of control and control-related ownership.
