Ruell Medina

Ruell Medina currently serves as an advisor to Hybrid Bank. He is also the President of Lucky Chances Casino since 2008, a state licensed California Card room based in the San Francisco Bay Area. From 2006 until 2017 Ruell was the President of Lucky Group of Companies consisting of Lucky Money, an international money transfer business, Lucky Check Cashing, a check cashing business, Lucky Payday Advances, a payday loan business, and Lucky Tours, a travel agency. From 2000 until 2016 Ruell was the Founder and CEO of Lucky Communications an FCC approved 214 facilities-based telecom provider that specialized in prepaid voice and data communications. From 2016 through 2020, Ruell served as director on the Board of Mission National Bank, a federally chartered national bank supervised by the OCC. While serving as a member of the BOD at Mission National Bank, Ruell was a member of the loan and tech committee. Throughout Ruell’s professional career, he has invested in other retail ventures such as a multi-unit pizza chain, and other startups as an angel investor and advisor. Ruell also is an active member of his community participating in charitable support for several community redevelopment in the county of San Francisco and San Mateo. He is also an active alumni of the FBI citizen’s association.
