Beny Steinmetz - Veteran Business Executive & Philanthropist Beny Steinmetz is an advisor to the BSG Group and BSGR, a privately owned global group of companies with interests and activities in natural resources, real estate, and capital markets in over 25 countries. Beny is philanthropically involved in several social initiatives. Steinmetz is the co-founder and chairman of the Agnes and Beny Steinmetz Foundation, through which he and his wife promote and support a variety of social causes. Steinmetz's career began in the diamond industry in the 1970s. After his military service, he moved from Israel to Antwerp, Belgium and founded an independent business, which he gradually developed into one of the leading brands in the industry. Following this initial success, Steinmetz used his experience and business acumen to further expand his diamond business and penetrate the international market. Throughout his career, Beny Steinmetz has formed durable business relationships with key figures in private and public sectors across the world. He puts great emphasis on making investments that positively impact society and building strategic partnerships that support sustainable community development. Steinmetz has been involved in many business initiatives that support local culture, housing development, recreation activities, sports events, and educational projects, as an inherent part of his business strategy and goals. In 2006, after many years of participating and funding different charitable projects, Steinmetz and his wife Agnes decided to consolidate their efforts into a formal grant-provision process and established the Agnes and Beny Steinmetz Foundation. The foundation supports health, welfare and education initiatives for young children and youth at risk. As a patron of the arts, Beny Steinmetz has also contributed to the Tel Aviv Museum of Art. He is actively involved with the development of the museum and a member of the board of trustees.
