Laura Rooseboom

Drs. Laura Rooseboom (1967) is co-founder and Managing Partner of StartGreen Capital and Oneplanetcrowd StartGreen Capital started out in 2006 with it’s first cleantech venture fund and now manages 4 equity funds and 1 loan fund, among which the Energiefonds Overijssel and Participatiefonds Duurzame Economie Noord-Holland. All funds have a focus on sustainable and impact investing. StartGreen Capital has more than 300 mln assets under management. Oneplanetcrowd is the biggest sustainable and social crowdfunding platform in the Netherlands with a focus on providing growth capital for small and medium sized companies as well as energy projects. Previously Laura was Managing Partner at DOEN Participations, the venture fund of Foundation DOEN of the Dutch Postcode Lottery. In the Netherlands, Laura was one of the first investors in sustainable business and she supported many of the early “green’ companies in their growth. Before this, Laura was active as an account manager for private banking clients at NBC Vermogensbeheer, (now ASN Vermogensbeheer). For these individuals she traded stocks and bonds on the stock-exchange. Laura has a postdoctoral degree as Chartered Financial Analyst (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam) and Master degree in Business Administration (Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam).
