Henrijette joined Novo A/S in September 2007 as Investment Director of Novo Seeds. Henrijette holds an MSc in Biology from the University of Copenhagen, and a combined PhD and Industrial Scientist degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Copenhagen, the Academy of Technical Sciences and Novo Nordisk A/S. In addition to her PhD, Henrijette has academic training as a postdoctoral fellow at MIT Center for Cancer Research, Cambridge. Prior to joining Novo A/S, Henrijette served as Director of Scientific Analysis with Sunstone Capital, and before then as Investment Analyst in Vaekstfonden’s Life Science Ventures group. During this time, Henrijette got experience in identifying new investment opportunities in addition to the structuring and execution of scientific due diligence. Henrijette was awarded the ‘Industrial Scientist 2002’ and has furthermore been honoured with the Anna Fuller Postdoctoral Fellowship in Molecular Oncology. Henrijette serves on the board of director of Avilex ApS, EpiTherapeutics A/S and Orphazyme A/S, and is Chairman of the board of directors of CytoGuide ApS, all Danish based biotech companies. In addition, she serves on the board of directors of Green Development and Demonstration Program, (GUDP) under the Danish Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries.
