Steven Schwartz

Steven is a seasoned leader and expert in cyber risk quantification and cyber insurance, with more than 10 years of experience in the field. He is currently the Vice President of Insurance Strategy & Underwriting at Safe Security, the leader in Cyber Risk Quantification and Management. In his role, Steven is responsible for developing and executing Safe's insurance strategy, partnering across the insurance ecosystem to drive the next generation of quantitative, 'inside-out' cyber insurance underwriting. Steven has a proven track record of driving innovation and growth in the cyber insurance and cybersecurity industries. He has had two successful exits as a leader in technology start-ups, most recently as the VP of Strategy and Insurance for Cytegic, a cyber risk quantification company acquired by Mastercard in June 2020. As a Managing Director at one of Silicon Valley’s elite tech-company CEO coaching firms, CEO Quest, Steven worked with venture capital funds in advising their portfolio member CEOs towards accelerated growth within the insurance and cyber security industries. Steven was previously SVP at one of the world's largest independent risk management and insurance consulting firms, UIC, Inc., where he managed and negotiated F2000 enterprise insurance programs in excess of $100M in Annual Premiums across 40 countries. Steven is passionate about investing, advising, and working with promising founders and companies. He is on the Advisory Board at PACE University's Seidenberg School for Computer Science and Information Security, was nominated to NYC’s 2017 “33 Under 33” and holds multiple insurance and investment advisory licenses.
