John L. Long, Jr.

Prior to founding Trellis Partners, John served as a partner of Dakota Venture Management Company. Previously, he was with Southwest Venture Partners where his primary investment focus was early-stage information technology projects. He eventually became responsible for the company’s most successful investments, including Chipcom, Dell Computer, Surgical Laser Technologies, Pilot Software, and Garden Ridge. John also serves as a Director of Wayport, Baseball Express and BetweenMarkets.
