Young Guo

Prior to joining IDG Capital, Young was a member of the Soros Fund Management in New York from 1996 to 1999, where he was involved in managing a $3 billion private equity fund. In 1996, Young worked for Salomon Brothers in New York, where he participated in securities trading. He worked at W.R. Grace & Co. in Maryland from 1990 to 1995, where he led product development and was granted five U.S. patents. Young holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, a Ph.D. in Polymer Science and Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and a B.S. in Applied Chemistry from Shanghai Jiaotong University.
