Ric Fenton

Ric joined TCV in February 2008 and has over twelve years of experience advising private equity firms, corporations and investment banks. At TCV, Ric is responsible for deal structuring and execution, compliance, legal and other administrative functions. Before joining TCV, Ric was an attorney in the Palo Alto and New York offices of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, a leading corporate law firm. At Simpson Thacher, Ric advised clients on a wide range of mergers and acquisitions and securities law matters, including public and private leveraged buyouts, stock and asset acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, minority co-investments, securities offerings and PIPE financings. Ric received a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Michigan and a J.D. from the Duke University School of Law. He is admitted to practice law in California and New York.
