Hein Pretorius

Hein Pretorius has been Chief Executive Officer of MIH Internet Europe, a subsidiary of Naspers Ltd. since September 2008. Pretorius joined the Naspers Group in 2000 as Chief Executive Officer of Kalahari.net and served as Chief Executive Officer of N-Direct, a subsidiary of Naspers Group from April 2002 to June 2005. He served as BD Director of Internet Division at MIH BV, a subsidiary of Naspers Group from July 2005 to September 2008. He served as Internet Business Development Director, first to Shanghai and then to Beijing of Naspers Ltd since 2004, and also served as Chief Operating Officer for the Internet Division in Europe of Naspers Ltd since 2007 and Chief Executive Officer of the Internet Division in Europe since September 2008. He has more than 14 years experience in the Internet, Technology & Telecommunications industries. He is a graduate from the School of Project Management (Advanced Project Management) in 1998, Manchester Business School in 1999 and Harvard Business School in 2008.
