Brian Kuo

Brian is a financial executive and accredited investor with 15+ years of experience. He obtained dual masters in Accounting from University of Oregon and Physiology from Oregon State University. Brian started his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he worked with large private and SEC companies, leading audits of companies $200M to over $1B. As a CFO consultant, he worked with private companies, typically $1-25M in revenue. Brian has provided high-level financial oversight to the cannabis industry since 2015 and obtained expertise in the nuanced details, such as accounting under 280E. He has provided advisory to some of the largest companies in the cannabis industry by revenue in Oregon, such as Wyld Confections and Empower BodyCare. Additionally, Brian provided key financial oversight to help raise of $3M+ for Folium Farms. Brian was also an advisor for Rhizo Sciences, a cannabis consulting company, who assisted the Hikurangi Group, the first cannabis operation in New Zealand and Medi Kingdom, the first licensed grow in Lesotho South Africa. In 2019 Brian was named Honoree CFO of the Year for mid-sized private companies by the Portland Business Journal for his role at True Terpenes. Additionally, Brian was a professional model for 5+ years and modeled for Bowflex and Nike/Perry Ellis.
