David Petraeus

General (Ret) David H. Petraeus joined KKR in June 2013 and Chairman of KKR Middle East. and also the Chairman of the KKR Global Institute, which supports KKR’s investment committees, portfolio companies, and investors with analysis of geopolitical and macro-economic trends, as well as environmental, social, and governance issues. He was made a Partner at KKR in 2014. He is also a member of the boards of Optiv (cybersecurity) and OneStream (business software). Petraeus is also a personal venture capitalist, a Visiting Fellow at Yale's Jackson Institute, an Honorary Professor of the University of Birmingham (England), a member of the Trilateral Commission, Senior Vice-President of the Royal United Services Institute, and Co-Chairman of the Global Advisory Council of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, as well as a member of the boards of the Institute for the Study of War and the Atlantic Council and over a dozen veterans service organizations.
