Shahram Hejazi is a Board of Director at Halo Labs. As a Venture Partner with BioAdvance, he is responsible for investments in device, diagnostics and imaging field. Within the BioAdvance portfolio, Shahram Hejazi focuses on working with mid/late-stage molecular imaging, life science tools, and diagnostics companies. He is a Board Member for Leversense LLC, Enzium, Inc., Infrascan, Inc., and Optofluidics, Inc. Previously, Shahram Hejazi was the President of Kodak's life science division (now called Carestream Molecular Imaging), where he had global responsibility for R&D, manufacturing, operations, sales, marketing, and service. While holding this position, Shahram Hejazi led the system business to successful double-digit annual growth and directed the launch of a new imaging agent business. Before Kodak, he was the CEO of Zargis Medical Corporation (an early-stage medical device company that spun-off from Siemens), where he led the company's efforts in areas ranging from raising capital and technology development to completion of several clinical trials, FDA approval, and product launch. Prior to Zargis, Shahram Hejazi was the Head of the Strategic Business Development group at Siemens, responsible for identifying early-stage growth/investment opportunities and new business development in the medical field. Earlier in his career, Shahram Hejazi held R&D management positions within the diagnostic imaging and nanotechnology fields at Kodak and IBM. Shahram Hejazi has authored over 10 scientific publications and has been interviewed by several professional journals on topics related to molecular imaging/diagnostics. He is an FDA Industry Advisory Panel Member for Molecular and Clinical Genetic Devices, an Advisory Board Member for Fox Chase Cancer Center, an independent Board Member for SibTech Inc., an independent Board Member for Bioscan Inc., an Advisor to Integral Molecular Inc, and a previous Board Member for Alpha Innotech Corp. (APNO). Shahram Hejazi has a Ph.D. in electrical engineering with an emphasis in biophysics from SUNY at Buffalo and an executive business education at Stanford University.
