Ravid Chowdhury

Ravid Chowdhury is an American-Bangladeshi entrepreneur and investor. He has over a decade of global investment experience across venture capital, private equity, and corporate development. He currently works at Techstars as an Investment Manager, is an active angel through his syndicate RC Ventures, and has served as a venture partner, entrepreneur in residence, and mentor for various VC funds and accelerators. He began his investing career in Private Equity in New York, then in Hong Kong. He was the CFO of Pathao, Bangladesh and Nepal's #1 ride-sharing, food delivery, courier and payments super app, where he raised several rounds of financing including a strategic Series A led by Go-Jek. Thereafter, Ravid led the seed round of Truck Lagbe, Bangladesh's #1 trucking platform, and joined the company as a board member and Head of Corporate Development. He raised several rounds of funding for Truck Lagbe including a Series A led by the IFC World Bank. He holds a BA in Economics from Wesleyan University in Connecticut, and a MPA in International Finance from Columbia University in New York. He was an International Growth Centre Economic Research Fellow from 2010-2012 with the LSE and Oxford University.
