Glenn Lurie is a seasoned executive with over 30 years of experience in the telecommunications and wireless industries. He currently serves as a General Partner at Stormbreaker Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm specializing in investments within the mobility sector. In 2021, Glenn joined Stormbreaker Ventures, bringing his extensive leadership experience to support innovative startups in the connected ecosystem. Prior to his role at Stormbreaker, Glenn was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Synchronoss Technologies, a position he held from November 2017 until his resignation in September 2020. Before his tenure at Synchronoss, Glenn had a distinguished career at AT&T, where he served as the President and CEO of AT&T's Mobility and Consumer Operations. In this role, he was instrumental in negotiating AT&T's exclusive agreement with Apple to launch the first iPhone and iPad, a move that significantly transformed the mobile industry. He also led the development of AT&T's Internet of Things (IoT) division, Digital Life home security and automation platform, and the launch of Aio Wireless, now known as Cricket Wireless. Glenn's contributions to the industry have been widely recognized. He was named one of the "Mobile Game Changers" by Russell Reynolds Associates in 2014 and has been listed multiple times in the Global Telecom Business "Power 100". He also received the Wireless Week’s Telecom Leadership Award in 2010 and was honored as the Atlanta Telecom Professional of the Year in 2009. In addition to his role at Stormbreaker Ventures, Glenn serves on the Board of Directors for Avis Budget Group, Pivotal Commware, Teal Communications, and Blue Link Wireless. He is also active in various advisory capacities across multiple companies. Glenn holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business/Marketing from Seattle Pacific University. An avid soccer player during his college years, he was a three-time NCAA National Champion and was selected as a 1st Round Draft pick in the Major Indoor Soccer League, going on to play professionally for teams in Cleveland, Atlanta, Milwaukee, and Portland.
